Rental Assistance Demonstration RAD
The Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) is a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development program that allows public housing properties to convert to a more stable, long-term Section 8 funding platform to support renovations and improvements. RAD preserves residents’ rights — including the right to return after construction — while providing funding to modernize and improve housing conditions.
