Property lists are generated each month and added to our website. If you visit our website - www.dhcmi.org, below if you select Forms and Resources, you will find additional helpful information. A wonderful document to review is – A Good Place to Live. It gives descriptions room by room of what is required to pass an inspection. Once a tenant selects your unit, they will have a Request for Tenancy Approval (RFTA) from their mover’s packet for the potential landlord to complete. Upon return of the RFTA with the supporting documents, it will be reviewed for affordability and rent reasonableness. If the unit passes both of those things, then an inspection would be ordered. After the inspection passes, the tenant could then move into the unit, and the contract could start from that date. Any further questions, reach out to landlordinfo@dhcmi.org.
